On May 31, 2014, in Waukesha Wisconsin, three girls Anissa Weier, Morgan Geyser and Payton Leutner went out to the woods about 4 miles away from their house. At the time all three girls were 13 years old. While out there Anissa and Morgan proposed a game of hide and seek to Payton which she happily accepted. During the game, Anissa and Morgan walked up behind Payton and stabbed her 19 times in an attempt to kill her. The girls then walked another 5 miles to a furniture store telling Payton that they would go and find help. Their initial plan was to walk to slender man's house but they decided not to. After Morgan and Anissa left, Payton was found by a passing biker who called 911 and she was then rushed to the hospital. Payton miraculously survived. Morgan and Anissa were put on trial Morgan was convicted of first degree intentional attempted murder but she was convicted to 40 years in a mental facility after she was diagnosed with Schizophrenia. Anissa was convicted of second degree attempted intentional murder and she was convicted to 25 years in a mental facility. Anissa was released last year via unknown circumstances.
