The FLDS Part 1

This weeks episode is the first episode in our new series on the FLDS cult. Throughout this article there are photos from inside the cult we hope you enjoy and make sure to tune in next week for part 2.

Above is an image displaying Warren Jeffs and some of his wives that were moved to the Zion ranch in Texas. His wives are all wearing the pastel dresses and hairstyles chosen by Warren to be worn on the ranch.

The first image is of Rulon Jeffs the previous prophet of the FLDs Cult towards the end of his life.

The second image is of the current prophet of the FLDs Warren Jeffs who continues to lead the Cult from inside prison (make sure to come back next week to learn more about this part of this case). These two individuals led the way for the abuse of young women that was to follow for years having absolute total control over everyone within this Cult and its practices.

Above you can see The Creek as it was called. The place where this cult grew into what it would eventually become. The Creek was completely isolated and contained ,everything the people needed from a fire station to a school The Creek had. Therefore dissolving any reason the people had to interact with people outside of their cult which led to the total isolation and control Warren was able to obtain. Secondly we can see an image of a building Warren had constructed within The Creek. On the chimney of the building "Pray and Obey" was written, this phrase became Warren's motto of control. By having it placed on this prominent building he embedded this analogy into their everyday lives helping to further his control over the cult.

These is just a small insight into the lives of the people inside this cult, their practices, beliefs and leaders.
